Each 10 mL of clear, orange-colored, orange-flavored Kytril Oral Solution contains 2.24 mg of granisetron hydrochloride equivalent to 2 mg granisetron. Inactive ingredients: citric acid anhydrous, FD&C Yellow No. 6, orange flavor, purified water, sodium benzoate, and sorbitol.

How does Generic Kytril (Granisetron HCL) work?
 Generic Kytril (Granisetron HCL) is used to prevent nausea and vomiting caused by cancer chemotherapy and radiation therapy. Generic Kytril is in a class of medications called 5-HT3 antagonists. It works by blocking serotonin, a natural substance in the body that causes nausea and vomiting. Dosage & Administration: Generic Kytril comes as a tablet to take by mouth. When taken to prevent nausea and vomiting caused by chemotherapy, Generic Kytril is usually taken 1 hour before chemotherapy is begun. A second dose may be taken 12 hours after the first dose. When taken to prevent nausea and vomiting caused by radiation, Generic Kytril is usually taken within 1 hour before treatment. Take Generic Kytril exactly as directed. Do not take more or less of it or take it more often than prescribed by your doctor. Follow the directions on your prescription label carefully, and ask your doctor or pharmacist to explain any part you do not understand.
