Cyclomune Eye Drops (Cyclosporine) is a topical immunomodulator that improves tear production by reducing inflammation and increasing the number of mucin-secreting goblet cells in the conjunctiva.

The use of Cyclomune Eye Drops (Cyclosporine) is contraindicated in patients who are allergic to any ingredient in Cyclomune Eye Drops (Cyclosporine) or to other corticosteroids (eg, prednisone) or have an eye infection. Topical anti-inflammatory medicines (eg, ketorolac) may decrease Cyclosporine Drops's effectiveness. Patient should remove contact lenses before using Cyclosporine Drops and lenses may be placed back in the eyes 15 minutes after use of Cyclomune Eye Drops (Cyclosporine). Patient should be advised not to use the artificial tears within 15 minutes before or after using Cyclomune Eye Drops (Cyclosporine). Cyclomune Eye Drops (Cyclosporine) should be used at the same times each day. Cyclomune drops may cause blurred vision. So patient should be cautious while driving or operating machinery. Cyclomune Eye Drops (Cyclosporine) are not recommended for use in pregnant women and nursing mothers. Cyclomune Eye Drops (Cyclosporine) should be used with extreme caution in children younger than 16 years old.

Dosages 
The standard Cyclomune Eye Drops (Cyclosporine) treatment is one drop in each eye, twice a day.

Adverse effects
Patients taking Cyclomune Eye Drops may encounter unwanted side effects such as:

  • Burning, stinging, pain, itchy eyes
  • Redness of the eye
  • Blurred vision
  • Overflow of tears
  • Eye discharge
  • Feeling something is in the eye

Contact a doctor immediately should side effects persist or worsen.

Warnings
Always discard the vial after one use and never reuse the dropper.

Immediately proceed to your nearest emergency department if you suffer an allergic reaction. Symptoms usually associated with such a reaction include difficulty breathing or swallowing, chest tightness, swelling, skin rashes, and hives.
