Tenvir-EM is an antiretroviral medication containing Tenofovir Disoproxil Fumarate (300 mg) and Emtricitabine (200 mg), used primarily in the treatment and prevention of HIV-1 infection. It belongs to the NRTI (Nucleoside Reverse Transcriptase Inhibitors) class, which helps inhibit the replication of the virus in the body. This combination therapy is widely utilized as part of PrEP (Pre-exposure prophylaxis) for people at high risk of HIV exposure, as well as a part of HAART (Highly Active Antiretroviral Therapy) for those already diagnosed with HIV.
