Trioday (Tenofovir, Lamivudine, Efavirenz Tablets)

Trioday tablet s are indicated for the treatment of hiv-1 infection in adults. Trioday tablets are not indicated for use in pediatric patients. Trioday tablets are contraindicated in patients with previously demonstrated clinically significant hypersensitivity (e.g., stevens-johnson syndrome, erythema multiforme, or toxic skin eruptions) to efavirenz, a component of trioday tablets . Trioday tablets should not be administered concurrently with astemizole, bepridil, cisapride, midazolam, pimozide, triazolam or ergot derivatives because competition for cyp3a4 by efavirenz could result in the inhibition of the metabolism of these drugs and create the potential for serious and/or life-threatening adverse events (e.g., cardiac arrhythmias, prolonged sedation, or respiratory depression). Trioday tablets should not be administered concurrently with voriconazole because efavirenz significantly decreases voriconazole plasma concentrations (see warnings and precautions, drug interactions ).

Dosage

The dosage of trioday tablets is one tablet once daily.

Trioday LAMIVUDINE/TENOFOVIR/EFAVIRENZ COMMON SIDE EFFECTS :

dizziness, drowsiness, tired feeling; nausea, diarrhea; headache, depressed mood, trouble concentrating; sleep problems (insomnia), strange dreams; rash; or changes in the shape or location of body fat (especially in your arms, legs, face, neck, breasts, and waist).

Call your doctor at once if you have:

• unusual thoughts or behavior, anger, severe depression, thoughts of hurting yourself or others, hallucinations; a seizure (convulsions);
• kidney problems--increased thirst and urination, muscle pain or weakness; liver problems--nausea, upper stomach pain, itching, tiredness, loss of appetite, dark urine, clay-colored stools
