Cresar (Telmisartan Tablets)
Cresar (Telmisartan Tablets) is an angiotensin II receptor blocker (antagonist) used to help manage hypertension (high blood pressure). It works by relaxing and widening blood vessel, and allowing blood to flow more freely. Reducing hypertension reduces the risk of heart attacks, strokes, and even kidney problems.
Correct dosage will vary from patient to patient, depending on the condition, their health, and their medical history. As an example only, a normal dose is often from 20mg to 40mg of Cresar (Telmisartan) taken once per day. The effects of the treatment are usually seen after approximately 2 weeks of treatment, and the full effects after 4 weeks. Patients can dose either both on an empty stomach, or alongside meals. Aim to dose at the same time each day.
